    I have kept on all the OVERTUN charts to that spelling. It is a job to decide what is correct and many of the children were registered as OVERTON (with an "O" for TON nor a "U". To avoid having to put OVERTU(O)N everytime I have used the name I have kept to the spelling OVERTUN but this could be incorrect.

    Other than the fact that the marriage certificate states that William AGENT was a widower I am not certain of details of first marriage, child etc and early census details of William. On trees on Ancestry it appears that the son shown for the first marriage went to New Zealand and details from various people for this son does not tie up with what I have above. More research needed. ( I would have thought that William would have been a Painter not a Labourer on the early censuses
