At present I cannot find family after 1871 Census and there does not appear to be a death for an Elmer ALLPRESS. There is a birth in September quarter 1872 in Birmingham district Warwickshire of an Elmer Thomas W ALLPRESS who must be a son of Elmer and Elizabeth. I then searched for Elmer ALLPRESS on Ancestry and a birth comes up in Wentworth, Ontario Canada for 4th February 1875, with fathers name Elmer ALLPRESS and mothers as Mary Jane Elizabeth BEARDMORE, so must be the correct family so assume one born in England in 1872 died before 1875. Then taking it from there I search for births in Canada with father as Elmer and there are six, starting at 1873 and going through to 1884, mother in some cases is Mary Jane Elizabeth, some are Elizabeth and M J E, but all BEARDMORE as her maiden name.
Emma Jane Allpress 27 Oct 1873
Elmer Thomas Allpress 4 May 1875
Lilla Ann Allpress 7 Oct 1876  found a death in Canada 1st November 1880 Wentworth, Canada.
    Ellen Allpress 11 Jul 1878
Alice May Allpress 4 Mar 1880 found a death in Canada 1st March 1887 Wentworth, Canada
William Arthur Allpress 16 Feb 1884
Then I cannot find family again in Canada, ie Census, deaths etc. But a Thomas Elmer Allpress born 4th May 1875 comes up on the WWI registration in Washington DC, USA, so perhaps they moved to the US. I then find an Elmer ALLPRESS became a naturalised US citizen on 16th August 1898. There is a Thomas ALLPRESS next to him with the date 20th June 1898.
Then I have found Elmer (the original born 1850 with his wife Elizabeth on the US 1910 Census, in Precinct 8, Washington, District of Columbia. No children with them. BUT the next entry is for a Thomas E ALLPRESS, born Canada in 1875, so have found the son again, he is married to Caroline who is the same age and born in Ohio of German parents. They have four children.
Cannot find any other members of the family. As can now be seen two of the children died in Canada, but there does not appear to be any marriages in Ontario Canada for the name ALLPRESS.
There is a 1890 Washington directory entry for Elmer ALLPRESS where he is a Bricklayer - 414 N Y avenue northwest
On the 1920 Census for Washington, there is a William ALLPRESS born about 1884 in Canada down as Brother-in-law, there is also an Elizabeth ALLPRESS down as mother-in-law but age wrong but the Census has been smudged so it is very difficult to read. However the wife is a Beatrice A STICKEL which does not tie up with the names on the Canadian Census, she is down as being older than William by one year so possibly there was a child between 1880 and 1884. She has a husband and children.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
