  2. 1851 Census - 12 Kirklaw Lane, Blackburn, Lancashire
1871 Census - 80 Blakey Street, Blackburn, Lancashire. Martha is down as a widow but has a child on the 1881 Census who is 9 years old. Cannot find family on 1861 Census. However Alice is down as 4 on the 1871 Census and 12 on the 1881 Census, so there seems some confusion over the ages of the children. Having found the marriage of Richard ASPDEN to Martha FRANKLAND, you will see that the age of the first child also does not tie up with this marriage. On the 1861 Census there is no Richard ASPDEN in Blackburn who is single, however there are Richard ASPDEN's who are married, although none have a daughter Mary Ann born in 1857 in Blackburn. I would still think that the marriage of Richard to Martha was his second marriage.
1881 Census - 16 Ducksworth Street, Blackburn, Lancashire. With the family was a Benjamin FRANKLAND, brother, aged 42, a Cotton Manufacturer employing 4 hands. I have found the marriage of Martha on the BMD so giving us the name of her husband and marriage quarter.
1891 Census - 3 Mid Summer Street, Blackburn, Lancashire

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
