  1. 1841 Census - Wix Greens, Wix, Essex. Having now confirmed that Hannah did not die until 1843, I have found her on the 1841 Census, at this address. This is good as she is living with a James BENEWORTH and family. I am fairly certain it must be a son, so have put details on this Chart. Being the 1841 Census it tends to give ages rounded up or down for adults so James is shown as being 40, but and therefore born in 1801, but it is possible that he is older than his sister. The informant at death of Hannah was a Sarah BENEWORTH which could have been he wife of James.
1851 Census - Ramsey, Essex. This Census has James as 53 and Susan as 46, so 1841 was rounded up and down.
1861 Census - Brite? Vitner? Farm, Ramsey, Essex
1871 Census - Colchester Road, Wix, Essex
  2. 1841 Census - Wix Greens, Wix, Essex.
    1851 Census - Ramsey, Essex.
1861 Census - Brite? Vitner? Farm, Ramsey, Essex
  3. 1841 Census - Wix Greens, Wix, Essex.
    1851 Census - Ramsey, Essex.
  4. 1841 Census - Wix Greens, Wix, Essex.
1861 Census - Brite? Vitner? Farm, Ramsey, Essex
1871 Census - Colchester Road, Wix, Essex
1881 Census - Bridge Farm, Ramsey, Essex
1891 Census - Bridge Farm, Ramsey, Essex
  5. I have added another Robert and Samuel after looking at the Parish records, they are down as twins, baptised as shown. This does not tie up with the ages on the 1851 Census, which are shown with the other two Robert and Samuel children. I can only conclude at the present time that both the twins died and they name the next two boys with the same name. On my next visit to the record office I will look at burials to see if I can find them.

  11. 1851 Census - Ramsey, Essex.
1861 Census - Brite? Vitner? Farm, Ramsey, Essex
1891 Census - Wix Green, Wix, Essex. It appears that George had only just married Alice, but she had either been married before or had several children, as there is Alice GANT, aged 10, Ernest GANT, aged 8, Gertrude May GANT, aged 5, all Scholars and all born in Wix. Then there is a child for George and Alice a Victor George BENEWORTH, aged 7 months, born Wix, Essex. There are two lodgers with the family a John DAY aged 59 born Beaumont, Essex and a Frederick DAY, aged 21 also born Beaumont. both are Agricultural Labourer, John is a widower.
  12. 1861 Census - Brite? Vitner? Farm, Ramsey, Essex

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
