    1881 Burgh Heath, Surrey, Tom down as Thomas was a Stableman to an I Anson ROBERT aged 30 a Trainer of horses and Jockey born Ireland and his wife Julia E aged 31 born Redbourne Hertfordshire. They had six children and someone down as S Sister as a Governess but then there are 17 down as servants, most of these are down as Stableman.
    1891 Hartham Stables, Pickwick, Corsham, Chippenham, Wiltshire. It looks as if the owner of property, Hartham House, was widow Ellen DICKSON (58) Living on own means born Middlesex. Living with her and her daughter in Hartham
    House were Housekeeper, 4 Housemaids, 2 Laundry Maids, Cook, 2 Kitchen Maids, Scullery maid, Hallroom Maid, Butler, 2 Footmen, Hall boy, and 2 Ladies Maids. A Guest was Hester STAPLETON-COTTON (19) South Kensingont, London Then there is Hartham Farm with Farm Bailiff and family, Servant and Nurse. Followed by Hartham Lodge housing Stud Groom and family. On to Hatham (which would have been rubbed out) for the Coachman, his wife and a Groom, followed by Hartham Stables where Thomas was living together with other servants Albert Hide PREEDY (30) Groom born Glamorgan, Wales, Edward H REED (29) Groom born Kempton, Hertfordshire, Arthur Charles BIRD (23) Groom born Luckington, Wiltshire, William Henry WILKES (23) Groom born Warwickshire, John ARCHER (16) Groom born  Hornchurch, Essex, Robert Norman (17) born Corsham, Wiltshire, John DYKE (24) Groom born Chippenham, Wiltshire and Thomas Robert COLE (22) Groom born Withington, Gloucester. Children Harriet 6 born Horsham, Surrey, then George followed by Mealer? (daughter) aged 2 months born Banstead, Surrey

    George's  father must have died and Rachel his mother had married again to a George TATE born 1835 Betchworth, Surrey. There were living at Morrington Cottage, Banstead, Surrey and there were MITCHELL and TATE children with them. The marriage of Rachel and George is shown as being on 7th August 1875 at St Andrew, Kingswood, Surrey and George is down as a widower and Rachel down as a widow. witness were down as Thomas DUDLEY and Harriet Elizabeth MITCHELL. Rachel's father is down as Charles SMITHERS a Labourer

    1911 33 Barclay St Sunderland, Durham. Eliza is down as having been married 7 years and having had 5 children 4 survive and 1 had died at the date of this Census. Children Mary aged 6, Ruth aged 4, Thomas Sanderson aged 3 and Dorothy aged 3 months all born Sunderland, Durham, With them is an Ada SANDERSON a Sister-in-Law aged 27 a Domestic Servant born Sunderland, Durham.
