    Note:
    Informant, Harriet BOTTING, does not appear to be a relation. She is likely to be Harriet STEMP, born 1822, Cranleigh to Henry STEMP and Mercy MITCHELL. She married William BOTTING in Cranleigh in 1843 and they lived in his hometown of Washington, Sussex. Her parents continued to live in Cranleigh Common. She may have been staying with her parents at the time of John POTTER's death.
