  1. 1851 Census -  Village, Hambledon
1871 Census - Black Beam Cottage, Chiddingfold, Surrey. Parents of Charlotte, as she was not born, but Mercy the eldest daughter was with them, she was aged 1 and born in Chiddingfold, Surrey. George was 23 and an Ag Lab, and Ann was also 23 both born in Chiddingfold, Surrey. (IGI baptism for Mercy was on 20th February 1870.
1881 Census - Great House Cottage, Hambledon, Surrey. Father - George aged 33 born Hambledon, Surrey, a Farm Labourer, Mother - Ann aged 33 born Hambledon, Surrey. Four other siblings other as well as Charlotte. There was also a Henry LAWRENCE, aged 12 a Lodger aged 12, a Farm Labourer.
1891 Census - Great House Cottage, Hambledon, Surrey.
1901 Census - New Barn, St Catherines, Arlington, Surrey. There is a James as a son on this Census, I did not have a James but there was a William J born in 1884 which ties up with the age of 17 given on this Census. I therefore feel that William J is the person in question. There was also a James GRAVETT a Boarder and Widower aged 70 a Carter on Farm born Rudgwick, Surrey with the family.
IGI - an entry by a member of the LDS Church states George BOXALL (just like that -no Strudwick as second name shown) was born in 1848 in Hambledon, Surrey. They have put his parents down as William BOXALL and Caroline STRUDWICK. I would think therefore that this is referring to our George above.
Marriage date for George Strudwick BOXALL and Mary Ann HOARE found on an Ancestry.com World Tree site. I cannot find on the BMD.
  2. 1851 Census - Lea? Crouch, Wonersh, Surrey
1861 Lourd? Hill Common, Wonersh, Surrey, Ann is down as niece with a Samuel VIRES? aged 62 a Gardener born Wonersh, Surrey and his wife Hannah aged 38 born Wonersh, Surrey.
  3. 1901 Census - New Barn, St Catherines, Arlington, Surrey.
Andy BROWN wrote on 20th November 2007: I think George Strudwick Boxall's second wife was Mary Anne Hoare 1845-1928. I have therefore added a second wife above. I have only used this information and at present have not explored any further.
  4. 1871 Census - Black Beam Cottage, Chiddingfold, Surrey.

George was 23 and an Ag Lab, and Ann was also 23 both born in Chiddingfold, Surrey. (IGI baptism for Mercy was on 20th February 1870.

1901 Census - 2 Waltham Cottage, Luidace? Road, Teddington, Middlesex
IGI Baptism. This shows that Charlotte was born in 1871 not 1872 as I originally had it, as she was baptised in October of that year.

Information from Andy Brown who is a grandson of Kathleen TICKNER and Walter BROWN - This is quite a complicated chart and Andy sent me the following information about it: Kathleen Rachel Tickner married Walter Charles Brown (b. 6/9/1908 in Godalming , Surrey, died 1989). The father of Walter Charles Brown was Charles Brown (b. approx. 1859 in Godalming or Normandy or Wanborough, Surrey (according to various census info)). Charles Brown(1859)'s third marriage was to Charlotte Mary Kerrison née Boxall (b. abt 1872 Chiddingfold, Surrey), who was the daughter of George Strudwick Boxall (b. abt 1848 in Hambledon, Surrey - n.b. his names not "Shudwick" as some census records show). Charles Brown and Charlotte Kerrison/Boxall had the following children:  Arthur Kerrison Brown (abt 1906) Walter Charles Brown (as mentioned previously) Eva K Brown (abt1913)
Charles Brown's second marriage was to Annie ?, which shows on the 1901 census with living with children Alfred (1887 ), Percy (1883 ) , Grace (1885) and Edith ( 1900). Note that only Edith was the daughter of Annie - the others were from Charles' first marriage (Matilda I believe, judging from the 1891 census).  Annie and Charles Brown had one other child - David Brown (abt 1902).
Charles Brown's father was William Brown ( abt 1837) who shows on the 1871 census with wife Lucy(1837) , and children James(1868), Louisa (1864), Charles, Alfred (1870) and William(1866) and Arthur (1873)
  6. 1881 Census - Great House Cottage, Hambledon, Surrey.
1891 Census - Cherfold House, Chiddingfold, Surrey. Servant to a James SADLER, aged 62 a Farmer born Chiddingfold, Surrey and his wife Jane 56 born Walton on Thames, Surrey. Three other servants.
1901 Census - Farncombe Street, Godalming, Surrey. Children as shown in Note 16, George Alexander is 3 months old.
Information for marriage of Fanny at the present time found on an Ancestry World Tree site. Will look further now I have found this information. Also it shows the following children for Fanny and Alexander - Mildred Fanny ELSON b: abt 1896 in Farncombe, Surrey, George Alexander ELSON b: abt 1900 in Farncombe, Surrey. It also shows that George Alexander ELSON married a Florence Edith GOODSHIP and they had two children.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
