    Obituary of Albert Milford CARTER
    Albert Milford Carter 04/16/16 ~ 01/07/03 Albert Milford Carter passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah. He was 86 years old. He died of heart failure. He was born in Springville, Utah to Milford Carter and Maude Dora Smith on April 16, 1916. Albert was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Married Leona Jane Hull on February 10, 1939. She preceded him in death April 29, 2000. Together they had one son and five daughters. Albert accomplished many things during his life. He worked on the railroad as a Gandy Dancer, was a cook in the CC's, and cleared dead wood from the forest. He served in the Army and was proud to have served his country. Albert worked as a professional gardener, loving flowers and plants all his life. He was a farmer while living in Elberta, Utah and worked in the Tintic mines in Eureka. Then he was employed at Geneva Steel Company, retiring in 1982. He loved the outdoors, mountains, flowers, and music; especially music from the Big Band Era. Albert was loved by many and he loved his family, including many nieces and nephews. He is survived by a son, Albert Karl (Sherry) Carter of Orem, UT; five daughters, Marjorie L. Rawlinson of Orem, UT, Barbara (Hank) Allen, Draper, UT, Colleen (Greg) Banks, San Ramon, CA, Collette (Muzz) Stone, Sandy, UT, and Teresa (John) Allen, Provo, UT; 30 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Verl Carter of Antioch, CA. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Leona, five brothers, Kenneth, Floyd, Calvin, Arvil, and Gene, and two grandchildren, Paul Banks and Colleen Ewin. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 13, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orem Berg Mortuary, 500 North State Street. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Orem Berg Mortuary as well as Monday morning one hour prior to services. Interment, Utah Veteran's Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale. Full military rites will be accorded by the V. F. W. District #4.

    Margaret Richardson Carter, 72, of Springville, passed away November 10, 1993 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo from cancer.
    She was born April 15, 1921, in Spanish Fork to Milton and Maggie Evans Richardson. She was raised and educated in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She married Kenneth Lavon Carter January 17, 1939 in Provo. He died September 19, 1966.
    She is survived by her children: Ronald K. Carter of Springville; Mrs. Ralph Henkel (Sandra) of West Jordan; Mrs. Alan Taylor (Cheryl) of Orem; Milton R. Carter of Springville; and Mrs. Mark A. Ray (Julie) of West Jordan; sisters: Eunice Richardson, Carol Back, and Mildred Whipple, all of Salt Lake City; 18 grandsons and four granddaughters; and 1 great-grandchildren.

    Kathleen Jacobsen Wing, 71, of Springville, passed away on January 19, 1999, in Provo, Utah. She was born on June 14, 1927, in Cleveland, Utah, to William and Lola Tucker Jacobsen. Following her marriages to Donald Wright (deceased) and Floyd Carter (deceased), she married Ray Hugh Wing on April 6, 1955. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on February 19, 1994.
    She is leaving behind her loving husband, Ray; her children: Judy and Vernon Lowe, Payson, UT; Mickey and Ilene Carter, Pleasant Grove, UT; Gary and Paula Carter, Spring City, UT; Bonnie and Butch Curtis, Hayden, CO; Rodney Carter, Salem, UT; Ralph and Pam Wing, Payson, UT; Lary and Shelley Wing, Mapleton, UT; 30 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bob and Colleen Jacobsen and Roy Don Allen; her sisters: Shelda and Phillip Ford, Faye and Lynn Orr, Lora and Jim Davis. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Gary D. Carter; her parents: William Jacobsen and Lola and Don Allen; a brother, Jerry Jacobsen; a sister, Vea Peterson.

    Arvil Donald Carter, Sr., 68, passed away December 12, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
    Born August 16, 1928 in Provo, Utah, son of Milford and Maud Dora Smith Carter. Married Lorraine Vivian Depew, June 24, 1951, in Laplata, Maryland; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 9, 1996. Active member of the LDS Church and was currently serving as ward clerk. Dad loved golf and was an aficionado; he also built and repaired golf clubs. Most of all, he loved his family. His children are his precious roses. Rene is his "Queen" of roses. Retired from AMAX Corp., where he served as union president for two terms and was a building maintenance engineer at the Memorial Medical Center. He retired from the Utah Army National Guard as a jump master and Master Sergeant in the 19th Special Forces/Green Beret Unit.Survived by three sons and five daughters, Mick, Don (Mary), and Ed (Michelle) Carter; Linda (Gary) Takis, Donna (Robert) Homer, Jean (Larry) Thompson, Lusinda Carter and Sharon Hicks; 30 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert, Orem; Verl, California. Preceded in death by daughter, Karen Sanders McDonald and two granddaughters.
    Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.

    Verl Junior Carter May 5, 1932 - May 19, 2006 Resident of Oakley Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, Verl was the Security Resident-Care Taker for the East Bay Regional Park District at Big Break in Oakley, California. He took great pride in his gardens and enjoyed sharing all the fruits and vegetables he had grown with everyone. Verl's greatest pride and joy was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Verl is the son of Milford and Maud Carter. He is survived by his loving wife Janis; his four children and their spouses, Ralph & Beckie, Marlene & Mike, Verlinda, and Cory; his eight grandchildren and their spouses, Ray & Pritima, Bridget & Mike, Lisa & Chris, Benny & Maria, Richard, Jessie, Eddie, and Justin; and his nine great grandchildren, Ralph, Sam, Curtis, Kassandra, Maxine, Alexandra, Catherine, Reese, and Jessie, all whom looked forward to Grumpy going to the flea market and bringing them home treasures. Dad will be greatly missed by many. Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Oakley Chapel, 1432 Laurel Road, Oakley.
