Living with them was grandmother Pollie HUNT (59) born New York, USA Obituary from Wallace MALIN sent via Barbara WHEATON 12/1/2009 ANOTHER DEATH FROM FEVER MRS LEW F CHAPMAN OF SIXTH AVENUE DIED AFTER A LONG ILLNESS Mrs Tammie J Wife of Lew F CHAPMAN died at her home on Sixth Avenue at three o'clock this morning after a long but patient illness of typhoid fever. Mrs CHAPMAN was the daughter of Mr and Mrs William C WHEATON of this city and was loved and highly respected by all who knew her, She was 28 years of age and was married four years ago. To them was born one child who still survives her, a boy two years old. She has been a member of the Congregational church of this city from childhood and was always a woman of noble character. Her death has cased universal sorrow among her host of freidns throughout the city all on whom extend their sympathy to the grief stricken husband. The funeral service will occur from the Congregational church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, the sad exercised to be conducted by Rev. John McCARTHY, the pastor.
