    However, if Mary baptised in Minster on the 20 June 1824 belongs to this family, as the address in the parish register is Acol, then the following might apply to this James.

  12. 1861 Census - a discrepancy has shown up here as this appears to be the right family living at 1 Union Row, Ramsgate, Kent as there is Ambrose CHITTENDEN, Matilda CHITTENDEN and Henry CHITTENDEN all of the correct ages. However Ambrose is shown as a Widower and we have his wife Eliza as died in 1891, so something is amiss.
    1871 Census - 2 Union Street, Ramsgate, Kent. Ambrose is shown as being born in Ramsgate, not Minster, 
    There is a death for an Ambrose CHITTENDEN on the Free BMD site as died 6 years, if this is correct the information on this chart and on CHITTENDEN Chart 0501 is incorrect, but we believe that was have the correct one, bearing in mind that this CHITTENDEN lived in Ramsgate, and the Ambrose name continues into the Terry family.
