  1. 1891 Census - See Note 8 - 52 Varcoe Road, St George, Camberwell, London - William J CLARK age 36 born Rotherhithe, London, (no occupation given);  Martha CLARK age 35 born Tilmanstone, Kent, William J CLARK son age 3 born Camberwell, London and Matilda CLARK age 1 born Camberwell, London. As from Note 8 they also had a Martha. will try and find on the 1901 Census. I have found Martha SETTERFIELD on the 1881 Census as a Servant in London and will make another note of this.
  2. 1901 Census - Martha CLARK is down as wife, but no William with her, at 9 Milton Road, Prittlewell, Southend-on-Sea, Essex as a Charwoman aged 45. The children with her were William J CLARK age 13 Telegraph Messenger, born Old Kent Road, London and Edward CLARK age 7 born near Rainham Ferry
  3. 1881 Census - Martha SETTERFIELD was at Charlton Lodge Maison Dieu Rd, Charlton, London she was a Servant unmarried, age 27 born in Tilmanstone, Kent (see Note 9)
  4. 1871 Census - Martha SETTERFIELD - This completes all the Censuses from 1861 to 1901 for Martha. On this Census she was a Servant at Eythorn House, Eythorn, Kent, she was 16 and a Servant Domestic, born in Tilmanstone, Kent
  5. 1901 Census - Stephen Setterfield was living at Budales Farm,  St Peters Entire Extra, Isle of Thanet, Kent, as a Wagoner on Farm age 48 with his wife Eliza SETTERFIELD age 48 and a son William SETTERFIELD, age 15 Carter General. Also with them was a niece Lilian CLARK born Bermondsey Age 12. This is a good find as I had found a Martha CLARK born Tilmanstone in London on the 1891 Census, but could not confirm that this was the right Martha. I think that this proves it.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
