  1. 1871 Census - 10 Monkton Cottages, Ramsgate, Kent, Boarder, Unmarried, Age 22, born Broomfield, Kent
I think that although named Lucy on the 1871 Census that this is our Eliza. I cannot find an Eliza but as she is living in the same house as a James TERRY of the correct age who she married in 1876 I feel as both of them are born in the correct places and are of the correct age that this must be this couple. The Head of the household was a Henry J MARSH, married age 23, a Printer, born in Folkstone, Kent, with his wife Ellen age 23 born in Ramsgate, Kent and their daughter Edith S MARSH, age 2 also born in Ramsgate, Kent
  2. 1871 Census - Broomfield, Kent (no full address given)
I have added this family as the family of Eliza CLEGGETT as this is the only family with that name that fits all the criteria needed, even although Eliza herself was not living with them on the 1871 Census. We will have to look at the 1861 Census to confirm that I have the right family. Eliza's father when she married was put down as John CLEGGETT, Labourer, we know that Eliza was born in Broomfield, her mother's name according to the 1871 Census was Eliza which also would tie in with this being the correct family. Also the first son of Eliza and James was Frank which was the name of her brother above.
  3. 1861 Census - 19 ???, Broomfield, Kent. Eliza is on this census, so I am now certain this is the correct family. The only problem is there is a lot more children to add on the 1861 Census, so it has gone up from 3 to 9 children. Eliza and Hannah are there, Frank I assume was not yet born.  The only problem I have is that Eliza is 9 and Hannah is 11 so they are transposed to what I had before, but I do not think this changes the situation.
  4. 1851 Census - Village, Broomfield, Kent - Have added four more children having found this family on the 1851 census.
  5. 1871 Census - Chegworth, Ulcombe, Kent - Not over happy with this, age of William not exactly right and they have a 9 year old daughter, but she is name Jane Sandford CLEGGETT and is down as being born in Biddington, Middlesex, the next child is a Eliza A, aged 5 and born in Hollingbourne which is where William and Mary married, so possibly Jane is a child from a previous marriage or relationship for either William or Mary. There are very few CLEGGETT's and to be in the right area with a wife Mary  I do believe this is the right family. There are two other children, will put a chart on for this family
  6. 1871 Census - Upper Street, Leeds, Kent
  7. 1871 Census - Old Mill Cottages, Leeds, Kent. Again a problem with this marriage, it is down in 1868 and the details match Ellen on the 1871 Census and her husband is James as the marriage shows, the spelling is different, TOMSON on the BMD and THOMPSON on the 1871 Census but this is quite likely, the problem is that in this case this couple appear to have had two children before they married, two after they married, again I think it is the right couple and either they had children before they marriage or they one of them had a previous marriage or relationship before they married. Another chart to put on. (AT PRESENT I AM ONLY LOOKING AT THE CENSUS FOLLOWING THE MARRIAGE)

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
