There was also no Frederick Charles marriage. However, there was a Frederick James COBB marriage registered in the September quarter of 1899 to Alice Amelia WHIFFEN in the Stoneham District of Hampshire. As we have Alice as the name for Frederick's wife we have decided that, as the baptism of Frederick was a private one, perhaps it was done quickly and an error was made in the baptism register where Frederick Charles was entered and that the name ought to be Frederick James which was that used for both the birth and marriage registrations. 1891 Cottage, Almer, Dorset.
