    THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me DANIEL JOHN COBB of Bere Regis in the County of Dorset Farmer I revoke all testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me I declare that my household furniture and effects are to be kept for those members or that member of my family who may stay at home as long as they are wanted but when no longer wanted they shall fall into the residue of my estate I bequeath unto my son Reginald John and my daughter Dora all live and dead stock farm effects and utensils gathered and growing crops and tenant rights in and upon any farm which I may be working at the time of my death as to three fourths thereof to my son Reginald John and as to one fourth to my daughter Dora and in the event of any dispute between them the same is to be decided by my Executor and Trustees hereinafter appointed I also bequeath the sum of One hundred and fifty Pounds to my son Reginald John I devise and bequeath the residue of my estate after payment thereout of my funeral and testamentary expenses and just debts Unto and equally between my three sons James Frederick and Jesse I appoint the London City and Midland Executor and Trustee Company Limited (hereinafter called “the Company”) to be the EXECUTOR and Trustee of this my Will and I declare that the company may in either such capacity act by its proper officer or officers who may employ and pay a Solicitor Broker or any other Agent to transact all or any business required to be done (including the receipt and payment of money) And the company shall also be entitled to remuneration (free from duties) in accordance with the scale of fees being in force at the date of this my Will or such other scale (if any) as may be arranged by written Agreement between the Company and me And in any case in which a Solicitor is employed under the power hereinbefore contained the firm of Thomas Coombs and Morton and their successors shall if possible be employed without prejudice to the right of the Company to consult any other Solicitor in any case in which it shall think fit so to do And I further declare if at the time of my death the business of the Company shall have been transferred to or incorporated with that of any other Company this my Will shall be read and construed as if the name of such other Company were substituted for that of the Company throughout In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this nineteenth day of January One thousand nine hundred and twenty-four

    THIS IS A CODICIL to the last Will and Testament of me DANIEL JOHN COBB of Court Farm Bere Regis in the County of Dorset Farmer which Will bears date the nineteenth day of January One thousand nine hundred and twenty four. I revoke the joint bequest to my son Reginald John and my daughter Dora contained in my said Will of live stock and other personality upon my farm and I bequeath to my son Reginald John all my live and dead stock farm effects and utensils gathered and growing crops and tenant rights upon Court Farm or any other farm rented by me. I devise to my daughter Dora my freehold property known as Chalk Pit Farm Bere Regis in the County of Dorset I direct that my daughter Dora shall share in the residue of my estate referred to in my Will equally with my three sons James Frederick and Jesse In all other respects I confirm my said Will In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty third day of October One thousand nine hundred and twenty six

    Exact circumstances of death are not known but probably died of wounds whilst being treated in a field hospital near Dickebusch
