I am having a lot of problems with this family. I have them as shown going to Canada in 1906 but on the 1921 Census they are shown as having emigrated in 1917, The youngest son is first shown as having been born in Canada and then this has been crossed through and England replacing it. The second son born 1904, down as 2 on 1906 crossing is shown as George and then in 1921 the child born in 1904 is shown as Alfred. Edwin is shown a George on the 1921 Census, as George Edwin in the Canadian Forces and as Edwin before he emigrated. Thirza's birth is shown as being in 1873 but she was born at least four years before that as shown by her baptism, but there was a Thirza COCKLE the only one to come up on the BMD as being born in December quarter 1864 in Ely district, Cambridgeshire. There is a Settlement paper in 1896 in Hackney, that says she was born about 1868. She is down as Cockle - Thirza (Pregnant) aged 28 Date of Relief Given was 1st February 1896 and relief ceased to chargeable on 6th May 1896. I have not found them on the 1911 England or Canada Census at the present time. On the 1940 Canadian Votes List Edwin/George is down as Edwin. I have  now found an interesting birth certificate for Albon the son on the chart above and details are given for him in note 5 above.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
