    Some problems with Family Trees showing Dolan as most show him born in 1908 but on the 1930 Census he is definitely shown as being only 8 years old and he does not appear on the 1910 and 1920 Census, other trees show him being born in October 1922 again not possible as his mother died in March of that year, so I think the date I have shown above from another Family Tree is the most likely birth date. I had thought as Dolan was born so long after the other children that perhaps Bertha had died in childbirth but if the date I have show is correct this was not the case.
    findagrave web site shows the birth date I have on his Gravestone.
    And then a piece on findagrave written by Dolan confirms birth, mothers death etc. (the first paragraph) the rest is the Obituary
    "I was born September 16, 1921 in a town that was settled by my grandfather, Ezra H. Curtis. This town was Aurora, Sevier Co., Utah. My father's name was Wilford Curtis and my mother's was Bertha Harward Curtis." Taken from autobiography 1938.
    Dolan quietly left us on April 20, 2004 at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. Although his mother died when he was only six months old and he lost his father on his 7th birthday, his older sisters, Merle and Lucinda, lovingly guided him throughout his childhood.
    He was married to LaFonda Roberts April 1, 1944 in Salt Lake City, and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They had two loving children, Irene and Allen.
    Dolan was an avid reader, encouraging and assisting those around him to read, including second graders at a local elementary school. In 1977, Dolan retired from Tooele Army Depot after 28 years of exemplary civilian service.
    Survivors include wife, LaFonda; son, Allen (Peggy); grandson, Jay (Christy) and two beautiful great-granddaughters, Maren (two years old) and Ava, born on his last birthday.
    He is survived by many loving supportive Roberts relatives and by numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by daughter, Irene; grandson, Jerry; sisters, Merle Peterson and Lucinda Lazenby; and brothers, Simmons and Lyndon Curtis.
    Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary directed the funeral services held on Saturday April 24, 2004 in the Lake Hills Mortuary Chapel. Obituary published in The Salt Lake Tribune, Thursday, April 22, 2004.
