We feel that either, he died and Lizzie (Elizabeth) remarried and the children took the name of their new father, or it was a bigamous marriage and he was found out, so possibly the children then took the name of their mother, or they emigrated somewhere which we have not found as yet. We feel certain about the two marriages as to be called Eli Nathaniel DIXON is unusual (the only one to come up on Ancestry) but to have a father called Benjamin DIXON on both and both as a Tailor we think makes the coincidence too great to be two people. 1862 2 Queen Street, Woolwich, London (address at marriage) Father Jonathan WOLFE - Farmer 1861 109 Newmarket Road, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Living with the family was an Alice Knott POWELL granddaughter age 2 born Ikleton, ? 1868 Clarendon Square, St Pancras, Camden, London, Middlesex 1869 Battersea (address at baptism of Nathaneal) 1871 108 Newmarket Road, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Lizzie was at home but shown as married with the surname DIXON. She is shown as being born in Greenwich, Kent, but was born in Cambridge, so perhaps was living in Greenwich in 1871.
