    This was held on the 13 and 14 May 1807 and the candidates were the Rt Hon Ld Viscount Hinchinbrook (751 votes), the Rt Hon Lord Viscount Proby(458) and William Henry Fellowes Esq (646). A John DRING, who had a house in WOODHURST, voted for Hinchinbrook and Fellowes.

    This took place from Friday 6 August to Tuesday the 10th August 1830.The Candidates were Lord Viscount Manderville (1068), Lord Viscount Strathavon (990) and John Bonfoy Rooper (804). A John DRING who had a house and lane occupied by himself and others in Woodhurst, voted for Manderville and Rooper.

    This took place on the 7th and 8th Augusut 1837. The Candidates wereEdward Fellowes (1392), George Thornhill (1332) and John Bonfoy Rooper(990). A John DRING from Woodhurst, voted for Thornhill and Rooper.

    Will of John DRING
    - to wife Elizabeth all freehold estates for life. After her death executors to sell the three cottages now occupied by William DRING, JohnHEAT and Henry MUNNS and pay off the Mortgage. Any additional costs to be borne by his six sons, George, Johnson, John, Thomas, Oliver and William. At the same time executors to sell yard and lean tos adjoining the barn now occupied by George
    - to my son George the messuage in Woodhurst which he now occupies plus yard, barn stables hovels outbuildings and adjoining land on whichWilliam has erected a hovel. The hovel is either to be taken down and taken away by William, or George is to buy it at a price fixed by Mr John Longland Ekins. Also the Tailor's shop and the land occupied by Joseph SUTTON, together with right of way and use of pump subject to Georgepaying his father 20/= a year from the date of the Will until the date ofhis father's death in acknowledgement of the property being left to him.
    - to my son Thomas the messuage and tenemant in Woodhurst occupied by William CHAPMAN
    - to my son John the messuage, cottage or tenement in Woodhurst occupied by Johnson DRING
    - to my son William the cottage and Blacksmith's shop subject to him paying Elizabeth LEEDING, the wife of John LEEDING of Spaldwick the sum of £10
    - to my son Oliver and Mary his wife the cottage in Woodhurst occupied by William GRIFFIN for their natural lives, and after the deceased of the longer lived of the two the property was left to the Executors to be sold, and the money divided between all the children that were then living, and the children of those that had died
