Also in the same property was William STRATTON, age 20 Male Servant, born in
    Cambridgeshire
1851 Church Street, Over, Cambridgeshire. John DRING was the head, but he had his father and lots of brothers and sisters living with him.
    County Poll 1818
The candidates were the Rt Hon Ld Frederick Montague (978 votes), William Fellowes (837) and William Wills (466). John DRING, with a house and land in Warboys, voted for Montague and Fellowes.
    Bluntisham Baptist Records
Included on the microfiche are the following. Except for Nathaniel it is unclear as to whom they refer.
Johnson DRING Membership 2 July 1841 Over
Mary DRING Membership 7 February 1845 Over
Nathaniel DRING Membership ? Over, transferred to Baptist Church Swavesey11 January 1850
    Sarah DRING Membership Dismissed
Mrs DRING Membership ? t/f to Haddenham 6 January 1881
  2.
  3. I had a family for this John and not for the seventh child John, I think that this was incorrect looking at the 1861 Census. The age of John ties up with the second one and looking at the periods I think this is much more likely. I have therefore moved this family. Also the age range between John and Lydia his wife is not so great.
  4. 1841 Dolphin Yards, Huntingdon St Mary, Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire
1851 Bridge Street, Holy Sepulchre, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Visitors were Marion Cartwright GEORGE (80) and Mary GEORGE (74) both married, Retired
Wheelwright and Retired Wheelwright's wife, born Roxton? Bedfordshire and St Neots, Huntingdonshire respectively. House Servants were Eliza ELDSON (18) and Ann WITHAM (18) born Borough Gates, Cambridgeshire and Swavesey, Cambridgeshire respectively. Five unmarried Lodgers were: Henry Richard JOHNSON (27) Undergraduate born Witherley, Yorkshire, Stafford REEVES (24) Undergraduate Trinity College born Hull, Yorkshir,e George Arthur Knutting CROFT (21) Undergraduate at Trinity College born Pickering, Yorkshire, Herbert CRAWSHAY (21) Student born London and Albert DeRUTEYEN (21) Undergraduate Trinity College born St James, London
1861 35 Petty Curry, St Mary The Great, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Visiting them was Foster STUART (56) widower born Scotland and Mary STUART (18) Servant born Huntingdon. A servant was Jane TATE (18) born Potton, Bedfordshire
1871 Commerce Road, Tottenham, Middlesex Indexed on Ancestry.com as DORING (Information from Richard DOLMAN 3/8/2007 RG10/1340 folio 197 page 26 No 110). Visiting with them was Mark MILDRED (19) Unmarried Assistant born Brighton, Sussex
We have found that the marriage of Oliver DRING to an Ann TAYLOR which appeared for Oliver DRING on this DRING Chart 0810 was the incorrect marriage and in fact this Oliver married a Mary GEORGE. The charts now coming off of this chart starting with DRING Chart 0723 are now what we believe to be the correct line. There are a lot of Charts on this Web Site, starting with DRING 0715 which at the present time are therefore not connected to our family. I have left them on as we are sure that they will be connected at some stage. This Note will appear on all the charts that are affected.
  5. 1841 Church End. Over, Cambridgeshire (Cynthia KIMPTON 21/8/2000)
Again I think the information we had is incorrect, we have Elizabeth DRING marrying a ??? SYMINGTON but I do not think it was her but her sister Mary born in 1826 who married a William SYMINGTON, we have an Andrew SYMINGTON born Leighton Buzzard as their child and indeed on the 1851 Census there is a family matching all this at Linslade, Buckinghamshire. Except the wife is Mary born Huntingdonshire and 24 years of age which matches the Mary in this family not Elizabeth. They have another child.
  6. 1841 High Street, Over, Cambridgeshire, Female Servant to Nathaniel GIFFORD (70) Farmer
    Alice (45), Elizabeth (20), Phoebe (20), John (15) and Nathaniel(20) HUTCHISON.

1891 4 West Street, Over, Cambridgeshire. I cannot find Elizabeth the Granddaughter on any later Census.
  10. 1841 High Street, Over, Cambridgeshire, Male Servant to Nathaniel GIFFORD(70) Farmer

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
