1902 Census - 7 Devonshire Grove, Camberwell, Peckham, London.  Father was Edwin John FOLWELL a Stoker (I had had a lot of problems trying to sort out the family of Emanuel/Emmanuel FOLLWELL and I have come to the conclusion that the father of Emanuel/Emmanuel FOLLWELL was not Edwin John FOLWELL as shown on the marriage certificate but a George Stephen FOLLWELL who married a Jane JEFFS on 25th December 1872, It was Jane's second marriage and there are three JEFFS children on the 1881 Census. Along with Emanuel, aged 3 and two other children Jane 5 and Edwin 7. Their father George Stephen FOLLWELL had died in the June quarter of 1877 in Barnet district aged 36 so he died even before Emanuel was born so quite possible he did not know his fathers names, as he was with his mother on the 1901 I think it possible he gave the name of her first husband as his fathers names but I will possibly find this out at a later date. The son Edwin (John) (so he could also have thought that as his brother had these names it could be his fathers names also) married in 1897 to a Amy Elizabeth LENNOX in Christ Church, Camberwell and subsequently emigrated to Canada. This I think must have been the reason for the son Emmanuel Charles above to emigrate. For some reason on the emigration papers in 1928 Emmanuel is given as Nephew but cannot see any reason for it, cannot find Edwin John on the "Alaunia" but Emmanuel Charles would have been his nephew.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
