There is uncertainty about the addresses for this George FOSTER.  In 1881 there is one George FOSTER born 1852 in Boreham, Essex in Woolwich. He is a
Wheelwright, which corresponds with his 1871 occupation of Blacksmith and others in his family have moved to Woolwich. However, the birth place is not Hempsted. Then in 1891 there is a George FOSTER born 1851 in Hempsted, Essex as well as the  George born 1852 in Boreham, However, the first one is in Canvey and an Agricultural  Labourer whilst the one born in Boreham is in Plumstead, when others in his family then  lived, and he is again a Wheelwright.
There is similar confusion in the 1901 census but the George born Hempsted is in Dunton, Essex as a Horseman on a Farm whereas the one shown as born in Boreham was a Foreman in a Wood Sawyers in Plumstead.
However, it has been decided, despite the place of birth information, that the George who gives his birth place as Boreham, is a Wheelwright, (and although his job changed in1891 he was still involved in making something), moved to Woolwich and then Plumstead  together with other FOSTERs, is the George who belongs to this family.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
