    Information for Garry Reed GAMMON (son on 1940 Census)
    Gary Reed Gammon, 72, of Riverside, CA, passed away March 30, 2008, of natural causes. Mr. Gammon was born November 2, 1935, to Reed Carter Gammon and Dorothy Barrett Gammon in Provo, Utah. He was the oldest of seven children. Mr. Gammon joined the Army and was in the Army Reserves for 10 years following his active duty. He lived briefly in Nampa, Idaho. In 1963 he moved his family to Palm Springs, CA. He worked for The Desert Sun newspaper, Mutual of New York, and USA Cab Company in Palm Springs, CA. He married Coralie Caine in 1962, and two children, Bradley Reed and Stacey Elaine, were born to this union. Gary and Coralie later divorced. Mr. Gammon is survived by his children, Bradley Gammon of Claremont, CA and Stacey Kloefkorn of Hemet, CA. Other survivors include his mother, Dorothy Barrett Gammon; his brothers and sisters, Gay Carlson, Paul Gammon, Linda Carrick, Mary Mallinson, Susan Hofmann, and Gordon Gammon, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

    Information for Velda Christine GAMMON
    VELDA "Kriss" BEAMAN born December 29, 1912 in Provo, Utah to Thomas and Pearl Gammon passed away
    August 22, 2007 in Houston, Texas at the age of 94. Kriss was preceded in death by her son, John Gilbert Shumway.
    She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Robert Bradford Shumway and Samuel Thomas Beaman; 6 grandchildren
    and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Heights Funeral Home.
    Funeral services are Monday, August 27, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Interment will be at
    a later date in American Fork Cemetery in American Fork, Utah.

    Obituary of Ada 
    Ada Henderson Johnson
    1910 ~ 2012
    Ada Lorena Thorvaldson Henderson Johnson, age 101, passed away July 26, 2012 in Santaquin. She was born October 2, 1910 in Tintic Junction, Utah to Thurber and Ada Leona Dixon Thorvaldson. She married Clarence Henderson May 9, 1928 in Salt Lake City. He died October of 1947. She later married Doyle George Johnson October 3, 1963 in Salt Lake City and he also preceded her in death.
    Ada loved to sew, knit, crochet and cook, a skill she learned from her mother. She raised 3 daughters and was widowed at age 37. To earn money she waitressed, candled eggs, made bullets in a factory during WWII, sold Studio Girl cosmetics door to door for years, worked as a housekeeper for a family in Salt Lake City and served as a cook for two years at an LDS Mission Home in Chicago. With Doyle Johnson she served in the Provo Temple for 16 years as a temple worker. In 1989 she moved to Santaquin to live with her daughter, Merle. She loved spending the rest of her life with the family.
    Survivors include her daughter, Merle Henderson (Sherman) Jones, Santaquin; brother, Joel Dixon Thorvaldson; son-in-law, Blain Jones, Layton; son-in-law, Kenneth (Audrey) Fowles, Delta; grandchildren, Lamarr & Cindy Jones, Payson, Rene' Collett, Springville, Russell & Deb Jones, Delta, Aaron & Julie Jones, Santaquin, Kevin & Cheryl Jones, Delta, Norman & Carolyn Jones, Provo, Janiece Jones, Layton, Ross & Leslie Jones, San Antonio, Texas, Sherrie & Greg Nielson, Alpine, Randy & Rebecca Fowles, Delta, Lisa Fowles, Delta; 72 great grandchildren and 70 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Norma Jones and Bernice Fowles, three sisters and two brothers.
    Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 31st at 11:00 am at the Santaquin 3rd Ward, 45 South 500 West. Friends may call at the Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Monday 7 to 9 pm and and Tuesday at the church from 9:00 to 10:45 am prior to services. Interment, Santaquin Cemetery.
