    1851 Census - 8 Liverpool Place, Ramsgate, Kent. Stephen's wife was not at home on the 1851 Census, and I cannot find her at present.
    1861 Census - 13 Waterloo Place, Ramsgate, Kent. Then there is an Alfred James STEED, son in law, aged 29 a Tailor and then his wife who is of course a daughter of Margaret and Stephen, she was Margaret aged 31 a Dressmaker, then their children Alfred James STEED, aged 6 a Scholar and Edward S STEED aged 1 also a Scholar everyone except Margaret Grant GOLDSMITH née PIDDUCK was born in Ramsgate, Kent.  
    1871 Census - 31 Liverpool Lawn, Ramsgate, Kent. Cannot find Stephen on the 1881 Census, we know his wife had died.

    1891 Census - 32 High Street, Chatham Intra, Kent. With the family was Beatrice M RANSOM, sister-in-law, born Rochester, Kent and Sarah Terry RANSOM, Mother-in-Law, a widow, aged 59 born Ramsgate, Kent. There was also a servant an Evelina H DIXON, aged 18 born New Brompton, Kent. (it is interesting to note the name of the mother-in-law. As TERRY is the second name and she came from Ramsgate I would again think that she is connected to my TERRY family. This keeps happening. The family are shown on the actual census as STEAD not STEED on this Census.

(I wonder why - I am a TERRY and although this family sort of goes back indirectly to the TERRY family I would not have thought that a child this far away would have been given this name
