Civil War Record - Enlisted December 1863 - Discharged 17th August 1965 - Private in "I" Company 3 Michigan Cavalry - Disability incurred - Lung difficulties which began about 1st March 1864. He was subsequently hospitalized in Nashville, Tennessee, Detroit, Michigan and Louisville, Kentucky. Records state that he was 5 feet 8 and half inches tall with hazel eyes, fair skin and brown hair. Refused a pension 1885 Henry later received one in 1907 when he was 78 years old. After his death Jane received $36 monthly. Father - Joseph GREEN - Labourer Mother Elizabeth BARTELL. Joseph ROWE alias GREEN followed his son to America where he used the name ROWE.
