Family History, Gurry Chart 0602 Edward Gurry and Frances Cox

1851 Church Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire. The information we had for the parents was as follows: Father of Emmanuel GURRY – Ebenezer GURRY (1808-) – 1863 Farming Bailiff Mother of Emmanuel GURRYE – Mary Ann DING (not DRING) (1813-). As you will see the information for his father is nearly correct, but his mother is down as Mary Ann DING, and on the 1851 she appears as Rebecca. This could be a second marriage. Looking at the 1841 Census this appears to be the case as Ebenezer is by himself with his family including William who is only 6 months, so would expect to find wife at home. Children Vivian aged 12 School, born Somersham, Huntingdonshire, Gladys M aged 10 School, born st Ives, Huntingdonshire and Graham aged 7 School, born St Ives, Huntingdonshire. 1881 Station Hotel, Union Road, Caxton, Cambridgeshire. 1891 London Road, Fen Stanton, Huntingdonshire. 1901 30 Victoria Terrace, Hemingford Grey, Huntingdonshire. 1911 30 Victoria Terrace, Hemingford Grey, Huntingdonshire. (Harriet is down as having been married 13 years and having had no children.
