    Jack Poulton Hale, 87, passed away April 20, 2013, in Salt Lake City, of natural causes. He attended high school at Hagerman High. He served in World War II. Upon his return from the war he attended BYU. He played college football and had a scholarship for Basketball at BYU. However, he had to return to the family farm in Oakley to help with the farm, so he forfeited his scholarship. Jack eventually entered the construction field. In October of 1947, Jack married Martha Anne Brewer. They had three children; Larinda, Brent, and Bob. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a Scout Master for many years. Jack and Martha had many good years together. Although they divorced after 25 years of marriage, they remained close friends. Jack later married Nelda Carter of Lehi. Nelda passed away in 2001. Jack spent his last years with his good friend, Winifred Bondurant. Winnie acted not only as his dear friend, but also as his main care giver. Her care and expressions of love for Jack will be forever appreciated by Jack's family. Jack is survived by five siblings; Melba Heiner-Burley, Idaho, Velma Whitaker of Boise, Idaho, Jess Hale-Loma Rica, Ca. , Tim Hale(Nola) Menan, Idaho Tom Hale(Diane) Cedar Hills, Utah, his children; Brent (Tania) Hale of Denver Colorado, Bob (Lisa) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Larinda Hale of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nelda, his parents, and his sisters Claire Gilchrist, Lela Bankson, Ila Duffy, Rzetta Payne. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal funeral home, 4330 Redwood Road. A viewing will be held the same morning from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the same location. Interment: Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
