    In the name of the God Amen. The fifth day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand six hundred and ninety I Richard Hewett of the parish of St Peter the Apostle in the Isle of Thanett in the County of Kent ??? or being sick and weak in body in sound memory praise to God therefore do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in the manner following First I commit my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my ??? and to Jesus Christ my most merciful Redeemer And ny Body to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter name Also I do give and bequeath all and ??? my goods chattels credits and personal estate whatsoever after my debts funeral expenses and charges of proof of this my Will be paid and discharged unto my dear and loving wife Sarah for and towards the maintenants and ?education of all my children Jane Sarah Richard Martha Robert John and Mary until each of them has accomplished his or her age of one and twenty years Amd my Will is that each of my siad children shall be sarvants to my said wife or disposed ??? by her order untill each of them hath accomplished his or her age of one and twenty years And I do hereby make and appoint my said wife Sarah and my Brother in Law John Kister to be executors of this my last Will and Testament And I do utterly revoke and make void all former and other Wills at any time heretofore by me made And as for and concerning my Messuage or Tenement wherein I now dwell with the yeards garden and lands thereunto belonging and ??? situate lying and being in the said Parish of St Peter at or near a place called Broadstairs And my being att or near a place called Ramsgate in the parish of St Laurence in the said Isle and County and now in the severall occupation of Thomas Davison and John Horwood or their assigns I do give and devise all that my Messuage lands and appurtenances wherein I now dwell and allso all that my said moyoto or half part of those Messuages land and appurtenances situate at Ramsgate as aforesaid unto my said Executors Sarah and John Lister and their ?heirs of the longest liver of them to the intent to the better enable them and the longest liver of  ? to sell or otherwise dispose of all and every the said Messuages land and apputenances of any part thereof and allso to my said halfe part of the said Medduages lands and appurtenances att their or ??? of their discretion for the benefitt and maintenance of my said wife and children if need be And my Will is that if it shall please God that my said wife shall maintain her and children without selling of the said Messuages land and appurtenances to the powere and interest given unto her and the said John Lister and the survivor of them as aforesaid that them my siad wife shall hold and enjoy the same during her naturall life and after her decease the same shall be equally divided amongst all my said children which be then ??? and their severall ??? for ever be equal parts and portions In witness whereof to this my Lst Will and Testament the said Richard Hewett have sett my hand and seal the day and year first above written
