With the family is a Sarah ROWE a Lodger a Widow a Laundress born Marchwood, Dorset and two of her children Matilda aged 8 a Scholar born Bridport, Dorset and William aged 5 a Scholar born Winfrith, Dorset 1881 Main Street, Wool, Dorset. 1891 Cottage, Wool, Dorset 1901 Church Street, Wareham, Dorset. George was a Boarder a Widower with a Martha RIGGS aged 50 a Widow and her two children and Grandson. 1841 Wool, Dorset. With the family was Margaret DIFFEY aged 72 Nurse. 1851 Quarry Hill, Wool, Dorset 1859 Longthorns, East stoke, Dorset. (Martha the mother is down as a Spinster, I would suspect that as Ellen her daughter has the name Cox as a christian name this was in fact the surname of the father) 1861 West Bridge, East Stoke, Dorset. Son with the William aged 18 a Cook on Coasting Ships born Poole, Dorset. With them was Frederick PHILLIPS brother aged 29 a Cook on Coasting Ships born Charminster, Dorset.
