    1881 Census - 3 Vicarage Place, St. Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. There was an Ellen PIDDUCK a boarder, aged 8 a Scholar, born St Lawrence, Kent and a George Benjamin, Aged 1, a Nurse Child, born Ramsgate, Kent with the family.
    1891 Census - 3 Vicarage Cottage, St. Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. Harriet, the youngest daughter was married but living with her parents with her husband who was only 20 on this Census. George F BENJAMIN now 11 and a Scholar was still with the family.

  3. 1871 Census - Chaple (as spelt on the Census) Road, St Lawrence, Kent. There was a Thomas BEERLING, Brother-in-Law, aged 28 a Labourer born St Lawrence, Kent. Immediately after him there is another family of BEERLINGs. George is the Head aged 61 a Labourer born Margate, Kent. his wife Ann is 51. I think George is the father of Charlotte and Thomas and Ann is his second wife. It continues with Lydia STONE, Step Daughter, aged18 born Ramsgate, Kent, Elizabeth STONE, aged 16 born Ramsgate, Kent and then Emily BEERLING aged 5 born St Lawrence, Kent. I have already found George on the 1851 Census as a Widower with Charlotte. will put on a Chart for the BEERLING family (This should connect somewhere with the large BEERLING family information we have. As on this Chart many of the BEERLINGs we know emigrated to Canada.

    1871 Census - Mavels, Manson, Kent. Henry was a Boarder with a Stephen Chandler and family
    1881 Census - 5 Thorne Cottages, Spencers Lane ,Minster in Thanet, Kent. - Eliza is down as Step daughter on the 1881 Census with the name HUGHES as shown. It is possible therefore that this was Mary's married name and not her maiden one. 
    1891 Census - Hollow Street, Chislet, Kent. 
    1901 Census - Cooper Street, Ash, Kent. The 1901 Census definitely shows the youngest daughter as daughter but I wonder if she really was a Granddaughter. It seems strange that she was born in the Workhouse. There is a Grandson on the Census, 1 years old, an Arthur H W ISAACS, born Eastry, Kent (Further to my comment about Ellen Florence I have now heard from Donald to say that Ellen was the illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth Mary ISAACS on the chart above. He also send further details for her, ie her marriage and children and I will in the future amend this chart to show this nformaton

    1891 Census - 13 Lorne Road, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. I had a slight doubt about this on the BMD and this Census as it says that Elizabeth was born in Manston, but when looking at the actual census I find that Elizabeth is living next door to her sister Mary Ann PORT, so I do believe that I have found the right family.  We think that the first Charles died in 1861 and we did not have William G born in 1855 before looking at the 1861 Census. Other than that we have families for all the children.

    1881 Census. Domestic servant at 25 Townley Street Ramsgate home of fishing boat owner who had five children and four apprentices at premises

    1891 Census - 12 Cumberland Road, Ramsgate, Kent. With the family on this Census as Anna M MACKIE, an Aunt aged 56 a Dairy? ?? born Eastry, Kent, and Thomas MACKIE a cousin aged19 a Fish Porter born Ramsgate, Kent. There was also a lodger and two visitors.
    1901 Census - 2 Providence Cottages, Southwood Lodge, St Lawrence Intra, Kent - Julia is down as Florence on this Census. Henry ISAACS, is with them as father aged 79 a widower, he is down as being born in Sandwich, Kent.
