  1. 1841 Census - Haven Street, Isle of Wight, Hampshire
1861 Census - Bartons Corner, Newchurch, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire. (living in same property as a BARTON family, so I am certain correct family, I did have details of a Daniel JAMES for the 1881 Census but I am now certain this was incorrect). I also had both George and Mary Anne as young deaths both before the 1861 Census, but again this was incorrect as both were still alive on this Census.
1871 Census - Ninham R0se Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight, Hampshire. I think the death of Mary above it correct, as this is definitely the same family as one the 1861 Census, except the wife is a Fanny, born 1832 in Carisbrook, Isle of Wight. the three children above are on the Census but the fourth child is only two.
1881 Census - Ninham Rose Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight Hampshire. Again I have a problem as with the family was a George JAMES, brother born in 1829 which is correct BUT I already have him on the 1881 Census with his family in Camberwell in London. So either his wife in London put him down on that census although he was visiting his brother on the Isle of Wight or one of the two families is not the correct one. As George is down as a Yachtsman on this census and the George in London is down as a Dairyman I feel that unfortunately the second option of one of the families not being correct is the most likely. Both families come from information given to me and I have only expanded it. The fact that the original information said that Daniel was a Market Gardener and Farmer and as yet I have not found anything to indicate this, leads me to think that the family above is possibly the wrong one. As there were so many JAMES families on the eastern part of the Isle of Wight at that time it is very easy to get one family mixed with another even with all the information that is now available online for the Isle of Wight.
  2. 1861 Census - Bartons Corner, Newchurch, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
  3. 1871 Census - Ninham R0se Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
1881 Census - Ninham Rose Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight Hampshire
  4. 1861 Census - Bartons Corner, Newchurch, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
1871 Census - Ninham R0se Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
  5. 1861 Census - Bartons Corner, Newchurch, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
1871 Census - Ninham R0se Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
1881 Census - I have added to this person from the 1881 Census as he is the only Charles born in Havenstreet in the right period. At the time of the 1881 Census there was a Fred. Wm. Cooper aged 4, born Arreton, Isle of Wight, Hampshire staying/living with this couple.
1891 Census - Haven Street, Isle of Wight
1901 Census - Havenstreet, Ashley, Isle of Wight, Hampshire
  6. 1861 Census - Bartons Corner, Newchurch, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
1871 Census - Ninham R0se Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
  7. 1871 Census - Ninham R0se Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
1881 Census - Ninham Rose Cottage, Binstead, Isle of Wight Hampshire
1901 Census - 96 Louis Street, Potter Newton, Yorkshire. Carrie is down as Carrie Wright SPENCER born Binstead, Isle of Wight and down as married which confirms the details I have found on the BMD but she is by herself in Yorkshire on this Census. There is a visitor a Emily S FOORD aged 31 a Missionary born Woolwich, London with her.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
