Ernest CHEESWRIGHT
born about
1889

  1. 1891 Census - Queen Street, Shere, Surrey (not on ancestry) as Fred born Albury, Surrey
  2. 1901 Census - Queen Street, Shere, Surrey as Frederick born 1882 Shere, Surrey
  3. This chart has been added as we have an interest in the KETCHER name as well as the name STEMP, this shows the connection between the two families, however at the present time we have not been able to connect this line of KETCHER's with the line we are interested in. I have not added any details for the children other than name as it is more than likely that they are still alive.
  4. 1861 Census - Risbridge Hill, Wonersh, Surrey born 1849 Wonersh, Surrey. Lodging with them was Thomas BLITHMAN (74) widower Ag Labourer born Wonersh, Surrey
  5. 1871 Census - Lapscomb, Albury, Surrey age 25 born 1846 Wonersh, Surrey
  6. 1881 Census - Middle Farm, Albury, Surrey age 34 born 1847 Wonersh, Surrey. Lodging with them was Amoss EDE (23) born Alfold, Surrey and Henery HANKINS (20) (sister Emma's son?) born Wonersh, Surrey, both Unmarried, and both Farm Labourers
  7. 1891 Census - Queen Street, Shere, Surrey (not on ancestry) age 47 born 1844 Wonersh, Surrey
  8. 1901 Census - Queen Street, Shere, Surrey as a widower named Harry age 54 born 1847 Wonersh, Surrey
  9. The birth entry for Henry on ancestry.com is indexed as KETCHELL. On looking at the original index it is very easy to see why this has been done. The up strokes of most of the letters are missing, and the final "r" looks like to down strokes. However, several names above there is a name ending in "ll" and the line are longer. Therefore, given that there is a baptism in 1846 it has been assumed that this Henry KETCHELL is actually Henry KETCHER.
  10. IGI Marriage details.
  11. 1881 Census - Not found
  12. 1891 Census - Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, Surrey (Indexed on ancestry as Lehma born Albury, Surrey). Living together with Surgeon, Matron, Nurses, Probationers, Cook, Ward Maids, Still Room Maids, other Housemaids and Porter

  15. There are two Selina KETCHER marriages in the Hambledon District, Surrey, one in the June quarter of 1889 and the other in the December quarter of 1906. How to decide which belongs to which Selina?
  16. In 1891 the Selina KETCHER who appears on ancestry as Lehma but is Selina on the actual Census return showed Albury as her birth place. I have assumed therefore that this Selina is the one who did not marry in 1889.
  17. Unfortunately I cannot find any children with the surnames CARPENTER, MOORE, CHURCH or STREETER with the mother's maiden name as KETCHER. Nor can I find a Selina CARPENTER or MOORE on the 1891 or 1901 census so I have not been able to find any other evidence to assist.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
