1841 Census - Shitterton, Bere Regis, Dorset. 1851 Census - Bull Lane, Bere Regis, Dorset. 1861 Census - 12 Rye Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset 1871 Census - Rye Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset 1881 Census - Rye Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset. There was a Tubal C JORDAN a lodger aged 61 a Herbalist Sub? Med?, born Bodmin, Cornwall and another lodger a Henry March a Domestic Servant, aged 15 born Sherbourne, Dorset with Peter and Maria. 1891 Census - Warren, Bere Regis, Dorset We had no information for Peter, but I decided that he must have still been alive in 1859 as he was a witness at the marriage of his sister Sarah and her second husband Charles SHIER, have now found him with a family on the 1861 Census and also the 1871, 1881 and 1891, hopefully will also find in the near future on the 1841 and 1851, although two children were born in Ireland. Now found on 1841 Census. Information for Marriage date and wife's maiden name etc has come from a Tree on Ancestry.com. However he appears on the 1841 census with Maria, so I would have though a marriage date of 4th June 1841 was after the Census, but Peter was in the same household as a WELCH family, Peter and Maria appear as the last couple, John WELCH was the head so possibly Maria's father, the mother was Ann. 1841 Census - Shitterton, Bere Regis, Dorset. 1851 Census - Bull Lane, Bere Regis, Dorset. 1861 Census - 12 Rye Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset 1871 Census - Rye Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset 1881 Census - Rye Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset. The age of William is not quite correct (1847) but as he was born in Ireland and his wife Jane was born in Bere Regis I think it is the correct family. 1891 Census - Village, Bradford Peverell, Dorset. On this Census he is down as being born in Bere Regis, but the three children Arthur, Sidney and Harry all tie up exactly with the information on the 1881 Census. Most of William's siblings were born in Bere Regis. Also the fourth child Harvey is a name used by this family. 1901 Census - Bere Regis, Shittenden, Dorset. His mother Maria LANGDOWN is with the family, so proving correct family. She is down correctly as being born in 1817 in Bere Regis. 1851 Census - Bull Lane, Bere Regis, Dorset. 1861 Census - 12 Rye Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset 1871 Census - Rye Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset 1881 North Street, Bere Regis, Dorset. Boarding with the family was Frank GOULD (31) born Bere Regis. Dorset 1891 North Street, Bere Regis, Dorset 1901 North Street, Bere Regis, Dorset.
