  1. 1851 Bridge End, Somersham, Huntingdonshire.
1871 "Golden Rose" Orchard Street, St Andrew, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire (cannot find Mary Ann on the 1881 or 1891 Census but see Notes 5 and 6 for George)
1901 Huntingdon Road, Pidley, Huntingdonshire, May Ann MANN married aged 55 was living with her father. She is down as married. See Note below.
1911 Pidley, Huntingdonshire. Mary Ann MANN is down as a Widow on this Census aged 68. With her is her father Robert a Widower aged 90 a etired Farmer born Somersham, Huntingdonshire.
I received the following from Cynthia KIMPTON on 20th June 2007. This is part of the Will of Esther KIMPTON: ...I give and bequeath all my wearing apparel and linen to my Sister Eliza KIDD...I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever Unto my Trustee Upon trust that my Trustee shall sell call in and convert into money the same or such part thereof as shall not consist of money and shall with and out of the monies so arising and with and out of my read money pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the legacy bequeathed by this my Will...And shall pay and divide the residue of such moneys equally between such of my Brother John JEEPS my said sister Eliza KIDD and my late Husband’s nieces Ann BEARPARK, Mary Ann MANN and Fanny Ann KIMPTON
  2. 1871 "Golden Rose" Orchard Street, St Andrew, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire (cannot find Mary Ann on the 1881 or 1891 Census but see Notes 5 and 6 for George)
1891 1 Blenco Grove, Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire. I am certain that this is our George MANN, for he was born in Denver, Norfolk, was born in 1843 and was a Stonemason, so everything ties up, BUT Mary Ann MANN née KIMPTON is not with him. There are after George two lodgers an Ellen Catherine MARSH, aged 24 a Housekeeper born Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire and I would think her son, Bertram MARSH, aged 5 born Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire. Then comes the problem as it is possible that Mary might not have been at home (in 1901 she was with her father so we know she was still alive). There are then two children, Beatrix Ellen Mann but they have put a ditto after the Mann so it would become Beatrix Ellen Mann MARSH. She is 2 and born in Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire. The same applies for the other child, ie: Ida C Mann ditto so it would become Ida C Mann MARSH. She is three months and born in Cherry Hinton. Both of them are down as Lodgers. Having looked at all of this I think that George had left his Mary Ann and was living with Ellen, who had a child Bertram, then had two children by George but was not married to him, hence the Mann in the name and the ditto to show the MARSH surname, I will put a chart on to show how this would appear.
1901 1 Bluice Grove, Rock Road, Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire. Even more certain that I have it correct. George MANN is still with Ellen MARSH, Housekeeper, Domestic, with the same children as on the 1891, except that Bertram is not with them, but there are another five children, the complete list is as follows, all born Cherry Hinton, no occupations for any, Beatrix E M 12, Ida C M 10, Harry C M 8, Lily A M 6, Gladys R M 3, Gertrude M 1, Sydney M 3 months, as they all have M as the last christian name and we know the M for Beatrix and Ida was MANN I would think that the same applies for the rest of the family. (I have shown them all as Mann above, but the BMD shows some with a M and some as MANN, still think they are all Mann)
  3. 1891 1 Blenco Grove, Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire.
(I have shown them all as Mann above, but the BMD shows some with a M and some as MANN, still think they are all Mann)

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
