    1871 Census - Haven Street, Arreton, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire Father of John BOYCE, William BOYCE was still the head of Household. aged 74 a Dairyman, born South Stoneham, Hampshire.
    1891 Census - Arreton, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire. There was a Theresa BOYCE granddaughter aged 4 born Arreton, Hampshire and a Reginald BOYCE grandson, aged 2 born Arreton, Hampshire with the family
    1901 Census - Thatch Cottage, Haven Street. John Boyce was the head of the household. With him was Leonard NEWMAN, son-in-law, aged 35 a Builders Labourer, born Ryde, Isle of Wight, Amelia, daughter, aged 40 born Ashey, Isle of Wight, Reginald Boyce, Grandson, aged 12 born Ashey, Isle of Wight, Cecil (Granger)  NEWMAN, Grandson, aged 5 born Ashey, Isle of Wight and Evelyn (Freda) NEWMAN, aged 4 born Ashey, Isle of Wight. I will put a chart on for the NEWMAN family (Second names in (-) taken from Isle of Wight family History site
  3. 1891 Census - Arreton, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire. (Theresa is on this Census as a Grandchild on John BOYCE, as is a Reginald. Reginald is on the 1901 as a son of Leonard and Amelia although they did not marry until 1894, I therefore think both were the children of Amelia, but the father might not have been Leonard NEWMAN.
  4. 1891 Census - Arreton, Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire. Reginald is down as a Grandson of John BOYCE and appears on the 1901 Census as a son of Leonard NEWMAN and Amelia NEWMAN née BOYCE. (see note 3 above)
