John, and his children Ellen and George are on the 1851 Census. However he is down as married not widowed so possible his wife was still alive. 1841 Census - Rises Farm, Chiddingfold, Surrey 1851 Census - Wool Land House, Red Wood, Chiddingfold, Surrey. There was a John Edwards, a Lodger aged 30 an Ag Lab born Dunsfold, Surrey and a Frances PLEDGE aged 1 a Nurse Child, born Petworth, Sussex with the family. 1861 Census - Mill House, Hambledon, Surrey. There was a John STREETER, a lodger aged 39 a Carter born Chiddingfold, Surrey with the family. 1871 Census -Hascombe Street, Hascombe, Surrey. William is head and the only other person with him is Stephen, but William is down as Married not a widower.
