    Note from my sister Jean Kathleen WHEATON née TERRY
    I found the following exciting even if the connection is a far distant one. After 37 years researching my family history (1983-2020) a link has been found between my husband, Dennis WHEATON's WHEATON family and the POWELL family of my mother, Olive Kathleen TERRY née POWELL.
    On the 28th August 1920 at St Ann, Tottenham, Haringey, London John ONYETT's daughter Edith Charlotte ONYETT (connected to WHEATONs) married William Frederick HARPER (connected to POWELLs). The witnesses were Edith's father John Henry and siblings, William John and Florrie
    Unfortunately because of the amount of family history research we have done over the years it became easier to organise my information into FAMILY FILES. So further information for William Frederick HARPER would be found in my POWELL file whereas the ONYETT family are in the WHEATON one. However, information on my brother John TERRY's web site connects both families.     NOTE - At the beginning of the line the name is UNNIOT and through the years it changes until today it is ONYETT. At present we are not certain as to when the name actually became ONYETT. As there are several variants in the spelling I have put the name ONYETT first on all the charts and then followed that with the spelling for that particular chart and indexed the whole line under ONYETT. ie ONYETT/UNYAT Chart 0700. The actual name as we have it appears for the actual people on the Chart.
