(1939  Census)
  1. 1891 Histon, Cambridgeshire
    1901 Pigs Lane, Histon, Cambridgeshire
    1911 Pigs Lane, Histon, Cambridgeshire
  2. 1871 Horse and Groom, 83 East Street, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire  as Jane A Domestic Servant was Selina DAWSON (17) born Colchester, Essex.  Lodging with them were Samson HAYWARD (37) Bellows Maker born Birmingham,  Warwickshire, Martha HAYWARD (27) Cotton Weaver born Ironbridge, Warwickshire,  John PEARSON (32) unmarried Spoon Polisher born Birmingham, Warwickshire,
Henry ELLWOOD (28) widower Labourer born Cambridge, Cambridgeshire and William ARNOLD (18) Unmarried Labourer born Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
1881 83 East Road, (Horse & Groom), St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
1891 12 Wyndham Street, Marylebone, Middlesex. Thomas WHITE aged 31 Domestic Servant born Cambridgeshire, Frances WHITE aged 24 born Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
    1901 Pigs Lane, Histon, Cambridgeshire
    1911 Pigs Lane, Histon, Cambridgeshire
On the 1911 census Frances is shown as having 7 children, 5 survive, 2 have died.
However, there is some confusion about the children of Dennis and Francis
On the 1901 census they had:
    1) Beatrice, 2) Thomas 3) Elizabeth, 4)Lavinia, 5) Frances Rhoda and 6) an infant, later named Ida Jane, all with the surname PEGG.
On the 1911 census they had:
    1) Thomas WHITE, 2) Lavinia, 3) Ida Jane, 4) Nellie, 5) John Dennis and 6) Sidney other than Thomas all PEGG. A seventh child, Frances Rhoda had died in 1902, this making 7 children, 6 surviving and 1 died.
So, where do Beatrice and Elizabeth fit in to this family? And why PEGG for Thomas in 1901, but WHITE in 1911?
On the 1901 Beatrice was shown to be born in Marylebone, London about 1890. A search has been made in FreeBMD for a Beatrice born between March 1889 and December 1891 and there were none with the names BUTLER, WHITE or PEGG
A birth for a Thomas WHITE was searched for from March 1890 - December 1894 in the Marylebone District; there is one in June quarter 1891.
Elizabeth is shown as being born in Pimlico, I do know know the District which covers that place so have not been able to do a search.
Assistance please needed from anyone who has the answers!

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
