Sarah and daughter Alice were living with Richard's parents Elias and Ann PERCIVAL (RG12; Piece: 650; Folio 51; Page 39; GSU roll: 6095760.) The daughter Alice is down as JACKSON which looking at the marriage date of Richard and Sarah and the birth date of Alice would mean that Sarah had Alice before they were married, hence the reason for her being called Alice Percival JACKSON 1901 43 Shepherd Street, Northfleet, Kent. Sarah and daughter Alice were living with Richard's parents Elias and Ann PERCIVAL (RG12; Piece: 650; Folio 51; Page 39; GSU roll: 6095760.) Alice was not married and with her parents Henry RING aged 31 born Rochester Kent, a Labourer and Mary A Aged 33 born Strood, Kent. Then other children were Henry 11 Scholar, born Rochester, Kent, William 8 Scholar, born Northfleet, Kent, Frank 5 Scholar born Northfleet, Kent, Rose 3 born Northfleet, Kent and Robert 11 months born Northfleet, Kent 1891 35 York Road, Northfleet, Kent. (It would appear that Alice RING married at least twice but possibly more, I am fairly certain that this is the correct Alice as she was born in Rochester, is the correct aged and is living in Northfleet BUT as can be seen her two children on the 1891 Census were born before Alice and Alfred married, which could have happened BUT there is an another marriage of a Alice RING in North Aylesford, the correct area at the beginning of the 1880's (it changed to Strood after this) in the June quarter of 1883, but it this was a first marriage I have not worked out how she married as Alice RING a second time, the husband would have been Lewis John DOUGHTY or Robert James PLATT. I assume now she would have married ??? McINNES as Alice LAWRENCE. 1901 56 Malmesbury Road, West Ham, Essex. So Alice had married Alexander McINNES by the 1901 Census. Her two children from her marriage to Alfred LAWRENCE were with her as stepdaughter to Alexander. 1911 89 Shepherd Street, Northfleet, Kent.
