  1. 1881 B26, Golden Lane Baths, St Luke, Middlesex
    1891 Not found
1901 Census - 101 Lever Street, St Luke, City Road, Middlesex William was a Boarder with a Robert M BETTS a widower a Boot Finisher born Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and his sons Robert S aged 24 a Shoe Operative born Hoxton, London and Ernest J aged 22 a Boot Packer also born Hoxton, London
1903 58 Allerton Road, Hoxton, Middlesex (address at marriage)
1903 20 Baldwin Street, City Road, Islington, Middlesex (baptism of Cecilia Mary)
1906 115 Crondall Street, Hoxton, Middlesex (baptism of Lilian Rose)
1911 12 Wiltshire Row, Shoreditch, London
On the 1911 Census it says that Cecilia had had six children and that three of them had died, we have found one death with Cecilia the others Lilian, Henry and Ellen were living in 1911, this leads me to believe that Jerome Henry who we have down as a child of Jerome is in fact a child of William Henry as he was born in 1907 and died in 1908 and would fill a gap on the above chart. I would think the other child was born between 1903 and 1906.
  2. 1903 58 Allerton Road, Hoxton, Middlesex (address at marriage) - Father - John ELLIOTT - Fruiterer?
1903 20 Baldwin Street, City Road, Islington, Middlesex (baptism of Cecilia Mary)
1906 115 Crondall Street, Hoxton, Middlesex (baptism of Lilian Rose)
1911 12 Wiltshire Row, Shoreditch, London
  3. 1903 20 Baldwin Street, City Road, Islington, Middlesex (baptism of Cecilia Mary) but not on 1911 Census with family
  4. 1906 115 Crondall Street, Hoxton, Middlesex (baptism of Lilian Rose)
1911 12 Wiltshire Row, Shoreditch, London
  5. 1911 12 Wiltshire Row, Shoreditch, London
  6. 1911 12 Wiltshire Row, Shoreditch, London
  7. BMD birth with PRESS as surname and ELLIOTT as mothers maiden name in the correct area.
  8. BMD birth with PRESS as surname and ELLIOTT as mothers maiden name in the correct area.
  9. BMD birth with PRESS as surname and ELLIOTT as mothers maiden name in the correct area.

Possibly a son, Jerome Henry PRESS born December quarter 1907 Shoreditch District, London, but possibly this son could have belonged to William Henry's  brother Jerome - see PRESS Chart 0300.

There are a nine more children from 1918 with PRESS as surname and ELLIOTT as mothers maiden name but I do not think they are part of this family, all but one of them are born in the London area.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
