She is down as a Servant to an Edward James HART a widower aged 34 a Clothiers Manager born Croydon, Surrey. There was another servant a Harriett SMITH aged 34 a House Keeper and Shop Assistant born Beddington, Surrey. They come after Edward but then listed is Edward HART a Nephew aged 14 a Shop Boy born Wein, Shropshire, a Jane HART daughter aged 10 Scholar born Middlesex, London and Annie HART aged 7 a Scholar born Middlesex, London. 1881 6 Patience Road, Battersea, London. With them was a Charity RUSSELL, Brother's wife aged 21 wife of Engine Diver of Loco born Cookfield, Sussex 1891 29 South Road, Reigate, Surrey 1901 75 High Street, Reigate, Surrey 1911 Rosemary Villa, Oakdene Road, Brockham, Surrey. On the 1911 census Matilda is shown as having been married 32 years and having had no children.
