There appear to be two families of CURTIS in Cheselbourne, They must be related somewhere, but all the names of the children are similar, even looking at the Census it was difficult to decide which family was which, both with George as the Head and Elizabeth as the wife, so as in this case, there is a William Ernest and a William Emmanuel born in September and December quarters, so without getting the actual certificate it is difficult to decide which family the belong to. I thought I might solve it by using the IGI but they do not appear on that.

    I am not certain of the spelling of Cheselbourne, it shows spelt in various ways Cheselbourne, Chesilbourne, Chesilbourne of Cheselborne So the first i/e changes and the u in the bourne is there or not. On Google for the parish church etc it is shown as Cheselbourne and that is the spelling I have tried to conform with in all case. I had originally lots of variations for the name but I have done a search and replace on the charts involved, however I might not have picked up all the variations.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family.
