  1. 1891 "The Swan", Millbrook Road, Millbrook, Hampshire. With the family is Ada E WHITNEY sister-in-law aged 20 born Weobly, Herefordshire and a Minnie PILSED? a Servant aged 18 a General Servant Domestic born Southampton, Hampshire. (I believe that the marriage to Leonora was the second marriage for Edward, as the son William Henry was born a long time before their marriage. However I cannot find anything that confirms this. There is an Edward SARGENT on the 1871 with a son William and a wife Mary born in 1845 in Launceston, Cornwall, who could be the correct person. He was a Coachman but could then have become a Licensed Victualler, but his birth date is three years out and if the son shown is correct (born in Forest Hill, Kent) then he must have died for them to have another son William Henry born in Preston, Lancashire. Cannot find an Edward born Launceston, a son born Preston, Lancashire on the 1881 Census. The wife Mary on the 1871 Census was born in Pilton Devonshire, and I cannot find her either on the 1881 Census, but of course she might have died, whereas we know that Edward and son William were alive). (Have now found son William Henry on 1881 Census with Grandmother, Have still not found Edward.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
