1865 Ellington, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent
1867 Ellington, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent
  2. 1830 Kent (at baptism) Parents John and Mary PETTS
1841 Minster, Kent. With her parents John aged 59 an Ag Labourer and mother Mary aged 57 both born in Kent (this would mean Mary was 48 when she had Jane)
1851 Chilton Terrace, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent. Jane was a Servant to a Thomas HOOPER aged 56 a Farmer of 152 Acres emplying 7 Labourers and 3 boys and his wift and family.
    1871 Ellington, St Lawrence, Kent
1881 3 Southwood Terrace, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, Kent
It is believed that Jane UNKNOWN married John SETTERFIELD. John died in 1867 and in 1876 Jane Goulder SETTERFIELD married Edward MIRAMS. Edward has probably been married before. In 1881 Edward MIRAMS with wife Jane and children Annie, George and William MIRAMS had lodgers, Thomas, Robert, Annie and John SETTERFIELD, who were the children of John and Jane SETTERFIELD. If this is not the right conclusion for the facts we have at present, we should be pleased to receive accurate information.
  3. 1861 Newington Road, St Lawrence, Kent
1891 Census - Edward was a Widower aged 63 and an Ag Lab born St Lawrence, Kent. He was boarding at 2 Bloomsbury Road, St Lawrence, Kent.
    Further

1881 3 Southwood Terrace, St Lawrence, Ramsgate Kent. Thomas and his siblings Robert, Annie and John, were lodging with Edward MIRAMS (51) Coachman born St Lawrence, Kent, his wife Jane (50) born Minster, Kent and children Annie (14), George (12) and William (9) all born St Lawrence, Kent. Their father's brother married a Mary Ann MIRIAMS. Further research suggests that Jane MIRAMS was the mother of Thomas and his
siblings and Edward MIRAMS was her second husband and that he had also been married before given the age of the children.
1891 35 Sussex Street, Ramsgate, Kent. Living with the family was James COMBER, step son (son-in-law crossed out), which suggests Thomas's
wife, Sarah, was married before.. Lodging with the family was William ARNOLD (19) Single born Sandwich, an Engineer
1901 35 Sussex Street, Ramsgate, Kent

Have been given information that William Thomas MIRAMS was a child of Edward MIRAMS and Jane Goulder SETTERFIELD née ???.
  13. 1861 Newington Road, St Lawrence, Kent
  14. 1861 Newington Road, St Lawrence, Kent
I have found a marriage for a James SACKETT and a Harriet MIRAMS in the March quarter of 1878. This could be this Harriet but there is a discrepancy with the age. On the 1881 at 4 Eagle Cottages there is a James SACKETT, age 24 Painter, born Broadstairs, Kent, his wife Harriet SACKETT is aged 23 and born in St Lawrence, Kent, which ties up with the marriage I have found, but she should be 26 or 27 years old, but she might just have wanted to give a younger age than her husband, so it is a possibility. I will not put in a Chart until we can confirm. They had a daughter Rosa, age 2 born in Ramsgate, Kent
  15. 1861 Newington Road, St Lawrence, Kent
  16. 1861 Newington Road, St Lawrence, Kent
1881 Census - 39 Brunswick Street, Ramsgate, Kent
1891 Census - 18 Brunswick Street, Ramsgate, Kent.
1901 Census - 18 Brunswick Street, Ramsgate, Kent.
Further information for this family can be found on the http://www.mirams.net/ web site. This information was given to me be Clive MIRAMS on 15th August 2005
  17. 1861 Newington Road, St Lawrence, Kent
  18. 1891 Census 25 Brunswick Street, Ramsgate, Kent.
1901 22 Boundary Road, St Lwwrence Intra, Kent
1911 158 Shaftsbury Street, Ramsgate, Kent. There were three boarders with the family a James TUDOR aged 37 a Woodpavior born Welling, Salop, a William POWELL aged 25 a Woodpavior born Battersea, London and a James POWELL aged 23 a Railway Porter born Battersea, London
Further information for this family can be found on the http://www.mirams.net/ web site. This information was given to me be Clive MIRAMS on 15th August 2005
  19. 1891 Census - 1 Mernal? Place, Ramsgate, Kent. Living with them on the 1891 Census was a George MIRAMS, aged 22 a lodger, a Gardener, born St Lawrence, Kent.
1901 Census - 36 Bloomsbury Road, Ramsgate, Kent. Note all the family are down as being born in Ramsgate on this Census. The oldest son who was on the 1891 Census is not on the 1901 at home. There is a death on BMD for a Frederick READ, age 1 in March quarter 1892, so could be this child. I cannot find a Frederick READ born Ramsgate, Kent born 1891 on the 1901 Census.
  20. 1891 Census George is living with his sister Annie and husband at 1 Mernal? Place, Ramsgate, Kent as a lodger. He was a Gardener, aged 22, born St Lawrence, Kent
1901 Gardeners Cottage, The Lodge, St Lawrence Intra, Kent
1911 4 Victoria Villas Ellington Park Road Ramsgate, Kent

Information for this family can be found on the http://www.mirams.net/ web site. This information was given to me be Clive MIRAMS on 15th August 2005. However I am now certain that the information given there for this family is incorrect and I have since had correspondence with a Paul Redwood who confirms my thoughts. I have therefore changed the information on this chart.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
