  1. 1851 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire
    1861 Heath Road, Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire
1871 Heath Bluntisham-cum-Earith, Huntingdonshire (Ancestry.com has it them as SILL on this Census) with them as a Visitor and Granddaughter is a Druster Weetson, aged 12, born Ely, Cambridgeshire (cannot find on any other Census)
1881 Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire, next property to Horse and Groom. Problems with this but I think correct James. His wife is down as Ann and on this Census is two years younger than him, whereas on the 1871 Census she was down as Annie and was two years older than him. but I have found a marriage for Ann GIFFORD to a James SILK, so I think it is likely that she was just called Annie, the birth place Pidley is the same. Then in the same household is a James SILK father born 1806 Woodhurst, age about right, birth place correct, but wrong name, but again James and John did mix quite a bit, down as a retired farmer which would make sense, also his mother Mary SILK, correct name, born Woodhurst, correct place and she is down as being 70 which makes her born 1811, so again a couple of years out. I still think it is the correct family.
  2. 1851 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire
    1881 Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire,
1891 "The Parrot", The Pavement, St Ives, Huntingdonshire This is intriguing as this was where Moses was on the 1871 Census. So we now know it was a Pub in St Ives.
  3. 1851 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire
1861 Church Lane, Pidley cum Fenton, Huntingdonshire
    1871 Fenton Road, Pidley, Huntingdonshire
1881 Pidley, Pidley cum Fenton, Huntingdonshire
    1891 Main Street, Pidley Huntingdonshire
1901 Rectory Farm, Main Street, Coton St Peter, Cambridgeshire
1911 Pidley, Huntingdonshire. With William, Sarah his wife and Charles their son was May SQUIRES a Granddaughter aged 27 an Assistant Dairy Work born Grafham, Huntingdonshire and Gifford PEAKS Grandson aged 21 a Farm Labourer, born Pidley, Huntingdonshire.
  4. 1851 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire
1861 Census - There is a Sarah SILK, born in Woodhurst, in High Street, Sutton, Cambridgeshire, of the correct age. She was a General Servant to a Retired Farmer a Joseph VIPAN, aged 32 and his family.
1871 Census  "The Parrot, The Pavement, St Ives, his wife was a Sarah Ann SIMPER, born 1838, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire. They had two children, a John Arthur SIMPER, age 7 and an Annie SIMPER age 6 both born in St Ives. There had a Servant and Sarah's borther Moses. Then a lot of Cattle Dealers
1881 Census - "Parrot" St Ives, Huntingdonshire.
1891 "The Parrot", The Pavement, St Ives, Huntingdonshire This is intriguing as this was where Moses was on the 1871 Census. So we now know it was a Pub in St Ives.
  5. 1851 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire
  6. 1851 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire
    1861 Heath Road, Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire
1881 Lattinbors Farm, High street, Hemingford Abbotts, Huntingdonshire
1891 Lattenbury, Cambridge Road, Hemingford Abbotts, Huntingdonshire.
1901 No 5 Woodbine Terrace, Broadway, Yaxley, Huntingdonshire
  7. 1851 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire
    1861 Heath Road, Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire
1871 Huntingdon Road, Pidley, Huntingdonshire. Living with him and his wife was a Mary GIFFORD, mother in law aged 67 born Wistow, Huntingdonshire
  8. 1881 Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire, next property to Horse and Groom.
    1901 Heath Road, Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire
  9. 1861 Heath Road, Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire
1871 Pavement (Parrot), St Ives, Huntingdonshire. Lots and lots of people included, Drovers, Cattle Dealers, Butchers, Ostlers etc. It was a Public House and perhaps somewhere where those involved in a Market stayed overnight. However, they were all described as Boarders, rather than Lodgers.
The Inn Keeper was Joseph SIMPER, the husband of Moses's sister, Sarah Ann
1881 Victoria Terrace, Hemingford Grey, Huntingdonshire. On this Census his wife is only 19, as can be seen they could only just have been married. It is possible that this was Moses's second marriage. I have not found another Moses SILK anywhere, but on the BMD there is a marriage in March quarter of 1873 of a Moses SILK, either to a Annie Hammond ARPHAM or a Betsey Ann TAYLOR, I cannot prove that this was our Moses as if it was he had married again before the next census. However there is a death of a Betsey Ann SILK in the December quarter of 1879, in St Ives.  she was 25, so I think it is likely that I have it correct. There is no death of an Annie SILK in that period. I have therefore shown the two marriages above
1891 Oliver Road, St Ives, Huntingdonshire
1901 Old Court Hall, Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire
  10. 1861 Heath Road, Bluntisham, Huntingdonshire

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
