    A message from a Bob BARKER on 27th May 2014 gave the following information:
    Leslie Arthr Ernest Standage who lived at 1 Shellwood Rd for more than 30 years actually got a medal (the Imperial Service Medal) for his long service as a postman. What I don’t know is how he was related to the William Henry Standage who lived there a generation earlier (his son?). Having now found a birth with POWELL as the mothers maiden name I believe he was a son of William's, although born 10 years after his elder sibling.

    1911 1 Wellington Street, Chelsea, London. Father Walter ONLEY aged 32 a Carman Contractor born Chelsea, Mother Emily aged 32 born Chelsea, London. She is down as having been married 9 years and having had 9 children, 5 of whom survive and 4 of whom who have died. Siblings on this Census Walter aged 8, Edward and Violet aged 10 both aged 10 months and all born in Chelsea.
