Drivers Mate, then one record officially cloased I received further information about this family on 9th January 2008 through Genes Reunited, for an Edith Miles-Bishop. However it did not have the wife of Henry John. I have found the birth details of a son William in 1920 which Edith is directly related to and this give the mother maiden name as STRICKLAND, in 1912 they had a daughter Esther and on the BMD it gives her mothers maiden name as STRICKLAND. In 1907 as shown there was a marriage of a Henry John STEDMAN in Gravesend but the BMD shows three people correctly but all born in Malling nor Gravesend as it should. I have looked up the BMD for December quarter 1907 and there is a Esther STICKLAND married in Gravesend but Henry's number is 2a 1457 and Esther's is 2a 1153, so by rights they should not be the correct couple. However I feel that somewhere there is an error and I do think that this is the correct marriage. Henry would have been 21 so the age is about correct and although we only know of two children there could of course have been more. It is likely that there are several more children as Henry and Esther married in 1907 but the first child we have is Esther born in 1911, seeing that there were then children until 1926 I am sure there were some between 1907 and 1911.
