Helena Naomi STENNING was the daughter of Alfred STENNING and Sarah Frances STENNING née PULLEN Helena’s siblings were Elsie Priscilla (1896), Grace Amelia (1901), Dorothy Kate (1903) and John Frederick (1909-1926) who spent most of his life in a wheel chair. Helena’s father was a Bricklayer. He was born in 1863 in Dunsfold, Surrey (the son of Alfred and Sarah, née HERRINGTON, STENNING) and died about 1944. Her mother, Sarah Frances PULLEN, was born (daughter of Edmund PULLEN) about 1864 in the Kirdford/Wisborough Green area.
