    Not found after 1871 Census, although wife continued to say she was married on the 1881 to 1901 Census and did not put herself down as widowed.

    1881 Boxley Barracks, Boxley, Surrey, Mary is still down as married but husband not with her. With the family was a William KILLPATRICE a Lodger aged 19 a Gardener bor Sheerness, Kent
    1891 Boxley Street, Boxley, Kent. Mary is head, again down as married but no husband with her. With her was her mother Mary GILES a Widow aged 85 Living on own means born Colchester, Essex. Also with them was a William KILPATRICK a Lodger aged 29 a Gardener Domestic Servant born Sheerness, Kent. (From the fact that Mary's mother was GILES it would appear that Mary had not been married before but had had a son before marriage to Alfred and I have changed the above chart accordingly
    1901 West Side, High street, Boxley, Kent. With Mary was William KILLPATRICK aged 38 a Garedener born Mile Town, Sheerness and a Fred BUTCHER a Lodger aged 24 a Coachman Domsitc born Marden, Kent.
