Down as Jennie COBB on Harriet Maud's birth registration 1891 Northroud? Treflund? House, Parkstone, Dorset. A domestic servant to a Henry SMILES, aged 73 Living on own means, born Newcastle on Tyne. 1901 39 and 41 Fore Street, Tiverton, Devon Have now found marriage in Canada of Thomas and Jane although she is down as Jeanie on the marriage details and Jennie on the birth of their daughter, the parents tie up with both Jane and Thomas, so I am certain it is correct. The residence at marriage is given as Dawlish, Devon, England, which possibly means that they were only visiting Canada at the time of marriage, but they stayed at least to the birth of their child and I cannot find the death of Thomas in Canada or in England, although Jane on the 1891 Census is down as a widow. 1883 London West, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. Also at same address was Maud TUCKETT, Granddaughter, Age 8 years, born Canada, America 1901 4 Tancred Road, Hornsey, Middlesex, Servant to William CADE (46) Buyer of Silk Handkerchiefs born St Ives, Cornwall and his wife Elizabeth (34) born Southampton, Hampshire and children Reginald C (10) and Doris E (1) both born Hornsey, Middlesex.
