The only entries in the Horsham district for a male were for: Charles James, December 1846. There were no entries anywhere in Sussex which looked like Meand. The only other entries in the Horsham District were in the March quarter 1844 for a Louisa and in June quarter 1845 for a Sarah Because of baptism Sarah appears to be a child of this couple and born in 1845. Given this situation it was probably understandable that the incorrect age at death was shown in the Index in 1927.
